Heartspring offers comprehensive insurance health, dental and vision insurance plans for employees who work 20 hours or more per week. Employees are eligible for coverage beginning their first full month of employment!
Flexible spending accounts after 90 days of employment which allow employees to self-fund with pre-tax dollars, dependent care expenses ($5000 per year) and unreimburseable medical expenses ($3000 per year).
For employees who work 25 hours or more per week, Heartspring provides life insurance after 90 days employment. The amount of coverage is one times (1x) your annual salary, raised to the next multiple of $1,000 if not already such a multiple.
For employees who work 25 hours or more per week and are employed continuously for one year, we also provide long-term disability insurance. This plan provides salary protection in the event of a medical disability that results in a staff being off work for 6 months or longer. Salary is continued at 60% of the base or $5,000 per month whichever is less. The payments continue until a person is able to return to work, or until age 65.
We provide two vehicles for retirement investing. The employee is eligible to begin their own tax-deferred contribution to the individual investment plan upon hire and after two years of employment, Heartspring will begin contributing a minimum of 3% and will match 50% of the employees contribution to a maximum of 6%.
Two - four weeks of vacation per year which accrues on a monthly basis from the date of employment. Vacation allotment is based on position and years of service.
Sick leave accrues at the rate of one-fifth per month of your scheduled weekly hours, with a maximum accrual of 60 days. Sick leave can be applied for employee illness, doctor appointments , dependent illness/doctor appointments or to care for an ill immediate family member if the employee qualifies for FMLA.
Heartspring observes approximately 15 holidays with pay per year, Christmas holidays (usually 8 work days – may be floating holidays if required to work to cover the break – this is subject to change at this time), Martin Luther King birthday, Good Friday, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, and two days at Thanksgiving.
Employees are eligible for scholarships after 90 days of employment.
