Currently, Heartspring is focused on creating learning opportunities for children with special needs by utilizing technology - including electronically gathering data about students and student programs, implementing smart classrooms and smart homes, accessing medical monitoring, and providing e-Education to increase positive outcomes for children with disabilities. In addition, increased research freedom, comprehensive document libraries and initiating virtual learning experiences will assist emerging programs in developing nations by supplying valuable knowledge and resources around the world; all of which are strengthened as a result of the generosity of AOS and Cisco technologies.
Heartspring’s vision is to help children with special needs in Wichita, across the nation and around the world. With the financial assistance of corporations such as AOS and Cisco, children in developing countries who have no access to resources can be assisted through our programs and alliances with pioneering programs.
“The wireless capabilities will be the basis for new products and services, which will create new Heartspring positions and employment opportunities, as well as innovative ways to serve at-risk children in their local homes and off campus, everywhere” said Chris Vacek, Chief Innovation Officer at Heartspring. The presentation of the AOS Unplug and Win grant to Heartspring will be made in conjunction with a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony and Open House, Thursday, November 29 at 11:30 am, in the AOS offices at 345 N. Riverview St., Suite 605.
