Admissions Overview

We know that making the initial phone call to Heartspring Admissions may be the most difficult step for a school district or a parent. Heartspring serves students ages 5-21 with developmental disabilities such as autism, Asperger syndrome, mental retardation, speech and language impairments, visual impairments, deaf/hard of hearing, cerebral palsy, challenging behaviors and those with multiple disabilities. Most Heartspring students display some problem behaviors which interfere with home life as well as educational progress outcomes...and the Heartspring Admissions staff understands the difficult position both parents and school districts are in. We are here to help.

Heartspring Admissions welcomes your phone call to speak about how we maybe able to help make your student successful.

After reviewing the student’s records with our Administrative Team, our staff will contact you to discuss if a placement at Heartspring is appropriate. When funding is secure, Admissions will walk you through the process step by step to ensure a smooth transition for your student.

Through the U.S. Immigration and Custom Enforcement's Student and Exchange Visitors Program (SEVP), Heartspring is certified to enroll international students.

Heartspring currently has limited openings in both the Residential and Day School. Please contact Cara Rapp, director of admissions or Danette Johnson at 1-800-835-1043 or 316-634-8730.
