Chance, a 6th grader who participated in the first ever Camp SSTAR at Heartspring last summer, learned how to install and maintain programs on an advanced Content Management System. He helped create a blog, a resources message board for parents, a picture gallery, personalized profile pages and games. During the week-long camp Chance was interviewed by a local television reporter and shared his thoughts about autism with her. “Once you can learn how to cope with it, you’re basically normal again. Autism has just been a challenge for me. You know I’m working on it...very hard. I’m trying.”
