Music is a universal language and at Heartspring, all students have the opportunity to share in the benefits music has to offer, regardless of mental or physical limitations.
Music plays an important role in the program of the students at Heartspring. It's more than learning music theory, and music concepts. Basic skills are emphasized, while simultaneously utilizing the individual learning potential of each Heartspring student. Performance in vocal, instrumental and special programs which include the annual Holiday Program, Lights On The Lake, ESA Tea and Tour, Parent Weekend and more are the major parts of the program. The students also get the opportunity to attend Wichita Symphony Orchestra Young People's concerts, various live musicals and more which aid in the development of social and emotional growth.
