Heartspring will host its first ever Poker Run to benefit the children of Heartspring on Saturday, April 5 in partnership with the Wichita Gypsy MC, a family motorcycle club. All local motorcycle enthusiasts are encouraged to participate. The ride will start at Heartspring and riders will follow a 40 mile course collecting cards before arriving at the final stop at Alef’s Harley Davidson. Prizes will be awarded for the best poker hand at the end of the ride. For more information please contact Melanie Mies at 316-634-8761.
In recognition of Autism Awareness Month, The Autism CARE Walk at Heartspring will be the first event of its kind to increase autism awareness in the Wichita area Saturday, April 12th. In addition to a one or two mile walk there will be a variety of educational booths on campus, food from local businesses and family activities. We understand that not everyone can travel to Heartspring to participate live in the Autism CARE Walk, so we invite those individuals and groups to register as Virtual Walkers, raising pledges and awareness for autism on-online regardless of your geographical location. Being a Virtual Walker affords you the same opportunities to benefit Heartspring as if you were right here on our campus. CARE stands for Community of Autism Resources and Education and any funds generated from the event will help benefit local children who are on the autism spectrum through workshops and programs offered by Heartspring. For more information or to volunteer, please visit www.autismcarewalk.org or call 316-634-8862.

Lights on the Lake is Heartspring’s signature special event. The 37-acre Heartspring campus is transformed into a winter wonderland with miles of lights, dozens of lighted displays, and hundreds of candy canes. The Lights on the Lake preview party is the Friday before Thanksgiving, bringing the campus to light for the very first time—complete with food, entertainment, live and silent auctions and closing with a “flip the switch” ceremonial lighting of the campus and the 40-foot tall tree on the Heartspring campus. Heartspring is open to thousands of holiday light enthusiasts the Saturday following the preview party until Christmas day; there is no charge to drive through Lights on the Lake, but donations are encouraged. In addition to the drive thru, the Lights on the Lake Hospitality Center opened in 2007 for hot drinks, holiday treats and photos with Santa. Visit www.lightsonthelake.org for more information.
