Conco Construction Inc.

Conco Logo Conco Construction Inc., a Wichita-based general contractor, has been closely involved with Heartspring since the company’s inception in 1975. Conco participated in numerous projects on the former campus on 21st Street and also assisted with the construction of Heartspring’s current campus on North 29th Street, building the Heartspring Conference Center and Group Home 6. The company and its vendors are instrumental in the installation and maintenance of Lights on the Lake, Heartspring’s premier fundraising event. 2006 marked the third year for the holiday lighting event and without the generous support of Conco, its employees, Craig Nelson, President and Dan Waller, Vice President, this event would not be possible.

Giving back to the community is a central part of the Conco philosophy. The company believes that giving back to the community that has given them so much generates rewards for everyone. Supporting the community is part of the company culture and involves everyone at Conco. The company supports volunteer efforts of its employees and becomes involved in causes that are meaningful to them. When a former employee was diagnosed with ALS, Conco began supporting a walk to benefit the ALS Society. Other organizations that are supported by Conco include the American Red Cross, the YMCA, United Way of the Plains, the Wichita River Festival and the Wichita Children’s Home.

Conco President Craig Nelson says, “What we give comes back to us many, many fold. Supporting our community is just the right thing to do.”
