Many employers offer the option of charitable giving through payroll deductions to their employees. Employees designate an amount to be deducted from each paycheck and choose an approved charity to receive their donation. Contact your personnel department to see if this option is available where you work.
State and Federal employee workplace giving campaigns are now underway.
Combined Federal Campaign: From now until December 15th, federal employees can designate Heartspring to receive contributions by payroll deductions through the Combined Federal Campaign, the world’s largest and most successful annual workplace charity campaign. Nearly four million federal employees and military personnel are able to contribute to the charities of their choice during the annual charity drive. If you are a federal employee, please choose Heartspring (#11779) when making your charitable choices this year.
State of Kansas employees can also use their payroll deduction program to make gifts to Heartspring (#22) through Community Health Charities. Community Health Charities is a charitable federation focused on connecting Kansas donors with health agencies that provide services to Kansas patients and families. Visit Community Health Charities to download a pledge card. Make sure to include our state code number, #22, to make sure Heartspring will receive your donations.
Matching Gifts: Many companies will also match gifts made by their employees to eligible charities. Maximize your gift to Heartspring by checking with your employer to see if they offer a matching gift program. By following your company’s guidelines, the value of your gift may be doubled or tripled. Many companies will match donations made by employees, their spouses, retirees and board members. A partial list of companies with matching gift programs is available on our website.
