Transitioning Students with Autism Seminar

Objectives

At the end of the seminar participants will be able to:
  • Identify the components of a comprehensive transition plan
  • Describe the individually determined components of an assessment of quality of life
  • Identify a minimum of six strategies for promoting greater social competence
  • Describe three components of sexuality education and discuss how they might impact learners with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
  • Recognize the importance of peer training as one component of successful transition planning

Who should attend?

Special Educators, Speech-Language Pathologists, Audiologists, Other Related Service Providers, Counselors, Vocational Training Teachers and Supervisors, Administrators and Parents will benefit from attending this seminar.
