School Programs - Community Vocational Training

Student stocking shelves at grocery store The Community Vocational Training Program focuses on learning various job skills such as applying for a job, time management, appropriate behavior and social skills. Heartspring staff collaborate with local businesses coordinating students to job skills to provide them with multiple vocational experiences. Staff accompany the students to the job site to oversee the job performance and teach functional skills. This program allows students to perform work off-campus while educating the community on how valuable these students can be working in the community.
