Two College Students Reach Out to Heartspring from the Philippines

Dinah Siasoco and Ana Rivera attended Heartspring's Teacher Exchange Program in May, 2010. Two graduate students from the College of the Holy Spirit in Manila, Philippines, contacted Heartspring because of their interest in receiving hands-on training in special education. Myanmar

Heartspring traveled to Myanmar (formerly known as Burma) in 1995 and 2000 to provide equipment, testing and training to the students and teachers of the Mary Chapman School For The Deaf. The opportunity to assist children in Southeast Asia was made possible by a joint effort of World Vision, Jack and Marilyn DeBoer and Heartspring. It is our hope that the equipment and training will make a positive and significant addition to the abilities that the dedicated staff at Mary Chapman can make on the lives of the hearing impaired they serve.
