Teacher Exchange Program

Teacher Exchange Program 2008Heartspring World Reach is dedicated to touching the lives of children all over the world. Our goal is to provide support and recognition to our partners around the globe, and our vision is to improve the quality of life for children with special needs anywhere they may be found. It is currently estimated that there are more than 150 million children with disabilities in developing countries and that only two percent of them will ever receive any education. The support that we can offer to developing programs worldwide can have a tremendous impact on their ability to meet this growing need. Through our Teacher Exchange Program, Heartspring partners with programs around the world to provide training and resources. The need is urgent – we are currently corresponding with programs in 25 countries, who have requested training and consultation from Heartspring. Your gift can help give every child a chance, today and tomorrow, here and around the world. A moment like this lasts a lifetime...touching hearts, and changing both lives

Since 2005, Heartspring has shared a sister school relationship with Stars and Rain Education Institute for Autism in Beijing, China. Each year, teachers from Stars and Rain come to Heartspring to learn and share, taking back new ideas and resources to reach more children in China. Your gift to support the China Teacher Exchange Program will provide essential training and support to help the children and families of Stars and Rain learn and grow together.

There are nearly 4 million people in India with autism, yet only 20 schools exist to provide autism services. In 2007, the first of these programs, the Open Door School, became Heartspring’s second international sister school. The India Teacher Exchange Program supports a cultural and informational exchange between Heartspring professionals and the teachers at the Open Door School. Your donation to support the India Exchange Program will help to change the lives of children and families in India.
