Training and Consultations

Among the estimated 175 million children in the world with special needs, more than 150 million are in less developed countries and fewer than two percent receive any special education. There is a worldwide need for more than 15 million well-trained new teachers to just begin to meet some of their needs. Heartspring welcomes the opportunity to provide training and consultation whenever possible. This most often takes the form of information exchange on the internet though occasionally Heartspring staff have had the opportunity to visit programs in other countries and provide support, recognition, and/or training. Professional training and internships are more often available on our campus in Kansas. Heartspring occasionally has the resources to assist with travel and housing expenses.
