Chief Financial Officer Carolyn Wilhelm joined the Heartspring team in 2015. She brings a wealth of experience and knowledge in nonprofit finance, capital campaigns, fundraising, software implementation, and investment work.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a major in accounting from Wichita State University, an associate’s degree from Barton County Community College, and a CPA certificate from the Kansas Board of Accountancy.
Before coming to Heartspring, Carolyn was the CFO at Alltite, a company that specializes in calibration services and tool sales. In her time there, she was able to cut costs by streamlining accounting tasks and increasing company efficiencies.
Prior to that, Carolyn played a key role in the successful merger of Kidron Bethel Retirement Services and Schowalter Villa to form Bluestem Communities in North Newton, Kan., where she helped manage post-merger consolidations and the set-up of systems and processes.
As part of Heartspring’s leadership team, Carolyn helps increase capacity and supports the organization by managing finances, facilities, and the IT department.
