Board Certified Behavior Analyst Jennifer Miller has been a dedicated employee for Heartspring and its mission for decades. She began her path here as an outpatient services scheduler and eventually worked her way up to a Board Certified Behavior Analyst position where she gets to celebrate all of the big and little victories her students make.
In her time here, Jennifer has been an outpatient services scheduler, administrative assistant for psychology and eventually worked her way to becoming a behavior specialist in the school and a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. While she was on her path to meeting her career goals, Heartspring supported Jennifer, paying for the schooling and training she needed to make her dreams come true. Jennifer originally studied political science and has a pre-law background, and she sees that as one of her strengths. It gives her another layer of knowledge of the students’ rights. The research skills she picked up while she was pre-law also help her in her current profession today.
In addition to her day-to-day responsibilities Jennifer sees students one-on-one and was involved in Angerbusters, a social group that uses different activities and games to teach students new ways to control their anger, practice taking turns, problem solving, communicating, seeing others’ perspectives and following expectations.
Jennifer has a Bachelor of Science in Political Science/Pre-Law from Fort Hays State University, a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Wichita State University, a Master’s in Education in Educational Psychology from Wichita State University and her Behavior Analysis Certificate from the University of Massachusetts at Lowell. In her free time she enjoys cheering on the Green Bay Packers, reading and spending time with her family and friends.
