One of our newest members of the speech-language pathology team, Lindsey Mohr, brings a passion to help the children and families Heartspring serves.
After moving to Wichita, she knew that Heartspring was the right fit for her professionally. She saw that the organization offered her the best chance to grow and also to return to what she loved most, working with children in Pediatrics. She sees her role as not only being a therapist, but as part of a family’s support system and a valuable resource for them.
Before coming to Heartspring, Lindsey worked in a hospital setting. Most of her patients were outpatient pediatric patients, but she has experience in a variety of fields with diverse populations including geriatrics and with stroke and traumatic brain injury patients. She worked on a number of skills including articulation, language, swallowing and feeding with her clients there. She is also VitalStim certified.
Lindsey has a Master of Science in Communication Sciences from the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee. In her free time she enjoys playing with her dog, being outdoors and working on arts and crafts projects.
