Clinical Director of Interdisciplinary Therapy

Primary Functions

  • Develop and implement strategies to position and lead Heartspring as a leader in the industry with multiple interdisciplinary teams and best practice
  • Develop, implement and maintain clinical competencies for positive client outcomes with multiple interdisciplinary teams to ensure the provision of evidence-based practices
  • Create goals with and for the multiple interdisciplinary team that drive the operations of the clinical therapies to ensure best practices
  • Collaborate with HR to interview, hire, onboard, orientate, engage, lead and retain team leads
  • Collaborate with fiscal year budget team to develop, implement, manage and meet revenue expectations and budgetary goals for sustainable service delivery model with interdisciplinary team
  • Lead individual and team interdisciplinary meetings with open, respectful and solution-based problem solving
  • Investing in consistent feedback and growth of team leads to maintain accountability and provide sustainable therapy service model
  • Participate in networking with other outpatient and community resources to ensure best practice and exportation of best practice service delivery models

  • Follow Kansas Board and National Association code of ethics, and all Heartspring policies and procedures.
  • Industry Best Practice for Service Delivery Models- ability to research, assess and implement the current best practices in outpatient industry and clinical service delivery models
  • Strategic- ability to create strategic plans, budgets and sustainable clinical service models with multiple interdisciplinary teams
  • Investing – ability to invest in team leads and team members by providing consistent feedback, opportunities to learn and grow, maintaining team accountability and motivating teams towards positive client outcomes
  • Developing Culture – ability to create and lead culture with team members around seeking viable and sustainable solutions while creating opportunities for leadership growth and development
  • Sustainability – ability to implement and maintain service delivery models that continues the legacy and reputation of Heartspring
  • Meaningful Communication – ability to communicate with a variety of audiences to develop rapport, engage in meaningful and motivating communication and deliver and receive feedback in written, verbal and non-verbal modes of communication
  • Accountability – ability to lead yourself, establish and uphold team leads and team members to job responsibilities and ensure sustainable model of comprehensive service delivery

Secondary Functions

  • Provide therapeutic discipline therapy assessments, re-assessments, recommendations and interdisciplinary therapy plan
  • Maintain records of professional, accurate and timely documentation on each child on the therapist’s caseload using industry best practices and meets payor requirements within practice standards.
  • Participate in training and supervision of clinical education programs of therapeutic discipline students when needed.
  • Participate in pediatric professional organizations and remain current and updated in literature and technology related to the field of therapeutic discipline (Behavioral Health, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, or Speech Therapy)

Job Description:

Educational, Training, and Licensure Requirements

  • Masters or higher degree in a therapeutic discipline (Behavioral Health, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, or Speech Therapy) from an accredited college or university.
  • Current Kansas license in therapeutic discipline in good standing (Behavioral Health, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, or Speech Therapy).
  • Meet continuing education units required to maintain Kansas license and National Association by attending pediatric seminars, conference or workshops to maintain industry best practices and remain current and updated on literature and technology related to the field of therapeutic discipline (Behavioral Health, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, or Speech Therapy).
  • Meet continuing education units required to maintain Kansas license and National Association by attending pediatric seminars, conference or workshops to maintain industry best practices and remain current and updated on literature and technology related to the field of therapeutic discipline (Behavioral Health, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, or Speech Therapy).
  • 2-3 years of leadership within an interdisciplinary team, preferred
  • CPR Certification maintained and in good standing
  • Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification maintained and in good standing
  • Participate in Heartspring leadership development trainings

Physical Requirements

  • Transitional Movements: Walking, standing, sitting, stooping, squatting, bending, twisting, reaching and kneeling, lifting, carrying, grasping, pushing, pulling, crawling, climbing stairs- Occasionally
  • Rotating or changing to different physical positions based on the needs of the environment- Constantly
  • Lifting of 20 Pounds- Occasionally
  • Lifting up to 30 Pounds- Occasionally
  • Repetitive Motion: Sitting, typing- Constantly
  • Hearing, Seeing and Speaking- Constantly
