The impacting role of the Heartspring Individual Support Providers:

Heartspring’s Individual Support Providers (ISPs) are responsible to work with a comprehensive interprofessional team of therapists to implement individualized treatment plans to help children achieve their highest potential. This interprofessional team includes a multitude of disciplines that you will work along side everyday, including audiology, speech, occupational, physical, and behavioral health therapists.

Our ISPs work with children ages birth to 21 in an outpatient setting by implementing the individualized treatment plan (ITP) written by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and collecting data to support the scientific evaluation of progress towards skill acquisition goals for each child and family.


  • Kind, compassionate individual with open, proactive communication skills, a positive, energetic attitude, and team-oriented mentality.
  • Implementation of individualized treatment plans written by our BCBAs
  • Successful completion and maintenance of Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) training, Competency Assessment and Pearson Examination for registration with the Behavior Analyst Certification Board as an RBT.
  • Maintaining professional, accurate and timely documentation.
  • Motivated by building relationships with children and their families, encouraging family input into therapy plans and home programs.
  • Ability to successfully complete all required orientation and training conducted by Heartspring staff, including annual NCI certification
  • Our ISPs meet the child where they are and work in different environmental settings based on the plan for the child, as such the physical requirements of the position (with or without an accommodation) may change slightly. An overview of the requirements are below:  
    • Transitional Movements: Walking, standing, sitting, stooping, squatting, bending, twisting, reaching and kneeling, lifting, carrying, grasping, pushing, pulling, crawling, climbing stairs- Constantly
    • Lifting up to 20 lbs- Frequently
    • Lifting up to 30lbs- Frequently
    • Repetitive motion: Sitting, typing- Rarely
    • Hearing, seeing, and speaking- Constantly
    • Personal protective equipment including masks, gloves, helmets, arm guards and leg guards- Frequently
    • Working outside without a temperature-controlled environment- Frequently
    • Exposure to infectious diseases, excluding COVID- Rarely
    • Exposure to bodily fluid, blood-borne pathogens - Frequently
    • Exposure to physical contact from clients, including slapping, hitting, punching, kicking, head-butting, biting and spitting- Constantly
