Residential Specialist- 3rd Shift

The life-changing role of a 3rd Shift Residential Specialist:

They teach, nurture, and work closely with children and young adults with special needs to help them care for themselves and find independence in their lives. The role of the 3rd Shift Residential Specialist is to help students with their nighttime routine.  Keeping the children’s living space safe, organized and clean is another crucial role of our 3rd shift staff. 

 

Qualifications:

The candidate must have:

  • A desire and passion to work with children and young adults with special needs
  • Effective team work skills
  • A GED or high school diploma
  • A valid Kansas driver’s license and a clean driving record
  • A physically ability to perform frequent amounts of walking, standing, sitting, stooping, squatting, kneeling, and lifting 30 pounds or more (The job can be quite active.) 

 

Compensation:

Hourly pay is based on experience and ranges from $12.00 to $16.00 per hour for base rate.  Shift Differential up to $2.50 per hour available dependent on shift worked.
