PedalFest celebrates its 10th anniversary and record-breaking number of participants
WICHITA, Kan. - Heartspring will host the 10th annual PedalFest bike ride on Saturday, August 24. With a record-number of riders, 521 and counting, and fundraising dollars, $42,496 and growing, more children will receive life-changing therapies from Heartspring Outpatient Pediatric Services.
The 50K and 100K rides will begin at 7:30am at Heartspring’s campus, followed by the 9:30am 5-mile family ride start. Registrations will be open until the day-of the event.
“PedalFest has been a critical event for fundraising for Pediatric Services for the past 10 years. Underprivileged and underinsured children from all over Kansas are able to access services for their children because of funds raised from this event,” Director of Heartspring Pediatric Services, Kim Becker said. “It is exciting to see the number of people who ride so our children can improve and be successful in everyday activities.”
After the rides, participants will celebrate the 10th anniversary and the event’s success with a lunch cookout, beer garden and live music by the local Matt Engles Band.
