Light Your Heart event grows at Heartspring
Wichita, Kan.—Tickets are now on sale for Heartspring’s third-annual Light Your Heart with Heartspring fundraiser. The gala raises funds for children with special needs served at Heartspring. Event organizers hope to build on last year’s success where $140,000 was raised which is $40,000 more than the previous year.
“There’s so much excitement around this year’s event after last year’s success. We are so excited for this year’s event,” Hannah Hrencher, Heartspring special events coordinator, said. “We want to continue the momentum of the past few years. Every year the event grows in size and in the funds raised for the children Heartspring serves."
Light Your Heart with Heartspring benefits the Heartspring Financial Assistance Program which provides financial assistance for free and reduced fee therapies at Heartspring. Many children with special needs benefit from more than one type of therapy, multiple times per week. However, not all insurance companies consistently cover the therapy costs, potentially causing difficulty for families to keep up financially. Through the generosity of our community partners and event donors, Heartspring was able to award more than $1 million in financial assistance for free and reduced fee therapies to almost 500 families last year.
“A ticket to our event is more than your entrance fee to a night of fun, music and food,” Hrencher said. “It’s helping a child say his first words, take her first steps or make his first friend.”
Guests will be treated to dinner, drinks, live music from the Ernie Biggs dueling pianos and live and silent auctions. For the first time, the event will also have a V.I.P. Clink & Drink After-Party. Tickets can be purchased at lightyourheart.org.
