Occupational Therapy

Pediatric Services' occupational therapists are licensed professionals in helping children develop the skills needed for participation in their daily activities of play and self help. Heartspring occupational therapists work closely with parents, families, physicians, and other specialists to help children achieve and gain a higher level of independence. Occupational therapists concentrate on areas of development such as visual motor, fine motor coordination, bilateral coordination, functional usage of hands, general play skills, handwriting, creative solutions for activities of daily living (e.g., dressing, eating), and sensory processing.
