Dr. Kenny joined Heartspring in October of 2021 as the chief operating officer. As the COO, he’s responsible for leading the planning, designing, developing, monitoring, and maintaining strong and effective program operations. He came to Heartspring with more than 16 years of experience in manufacturing, product management, business integration, project management, and engineering. He is a globally seasoned and values-driven manufacturing business leader. Before joining Heartspring, he was a global program manager at Johnson Controls, Inc., the world’s leading manufacturer and provider of digital solutions, overseeing the global value engineering value analysis (VAVE) systems from conceptual to implementation.

Dr. Kenny earned his doctorate in business administration from California Southern University and master's degrees in global leadership and management from Friends University and mechanical engineering from Wichita State University. Dr. Kenny is a lifelong learner enrolled at Liberty University in a doctoral program concentrating on strategic leadership.

Dr. Kenny has been a faculty member since 2016 at Friends University. He provides lectures on courses such as Global Business, Cross-Cultural Diversity & Communication, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, and Six Sigma Green Belt with a Certificate. In his free time, he spends time with his family, visiting relatives, fishing, and volunteering. He serves as a board member for the Institute Supply Management-Wichita (ISM) and Child First: CEO Kansas Inc.
