Community & Family Autism Services - CARE Program

CARE (Community of Autism Resources and Education) is dedicated to providing the community with programs to increase opportunities for individuals and families impacted by Autism Spectrum Disorder.

Parent/Guardian Support Group

Our FREE Parent Support Group was created to give parents and guardians of children with special needs a place to build relationships with other parents and share their struggles, experiences, and special moments of success.

This group meets in the Heartspring Conference Center on the third Saturday of each month at 10:00 a.m. This group is free and open to the public.

If you are interested in attending, please contact Kalee Beal at 316-634-8862 or kbeal@heartspring.org

Sibling Support Group

Our FREE Sibling Support Group is designed to develop an enhanced sense of understanding, esteem, compassion, and empathy towards siblings who are impacted by Autism Spectrum Disorder. Participants in this group are able to connect with other siblings in similar circumstances, which provides the opportunity to create bonds and friendships.

This group meets in the Heartspring Conference Center on the third Saturday of each month at 10:00 a.m. at same time as our Parent Support group. This group is free and open to the public.

If you are interested in attending, please contact Kalee Beal at 316-634-8862 or kbeal@heartspring.org

Online Autism Screening

Research has shown that early intervention of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is essential in improving your child's learning, communication, social skills, and brain development. If you suspect your child may be affected by ASD, the Modified Checklist for Autism in Toddlers (M-CHAT) is a trusted screening questionnaire that will help you determine if additional testing may be needed.

Camp SSTAR

Camp SSTAR is an innovative and life-changing program for children impacted by autism. Our goal for the summer months is to keep children engaged in the learning opportunities offered to them throughout the school year as well as to continue their growth in areas of development necessary for an independent and successful future.

Camp SSTAR is currently out of session. Dates and pricing for next summer will be in the spring.
