Wichita's giving spirit highlighted by Lights on the Lake success

WICHITA, Kan. – Heartspring’s 10th annual Lights on the Lake holiday light tour is showing an increase in drive-thru attendance and donations since opening on November 29. The holiday light tour located on Heartspring’s 37-acre campus off of 29th St. E. has seen a 19% increase in attendance to date, and has received a 62% increase in donations from 2012. All of the donations will benefit therapies for children with special needs at Heartspring Pediatric Services.
“We owe much of our recent success to the Wichita community. The success of our event is dependent on the donations given throughout the holiday season from our local and surrounding communities. The more money that is raised means that we are able to provide more therapies for more children with special needs,” said Tessa Konen, Marketing and Events Coordinator.

Heartspring’s Lights on the Lake Holiday Light Tour will be open to the public every night until Christmas Day. The tour begins at 5:30 each night and will close at 9PM Sunday through Thursday and 10PM on Friday and Saturday nights. Guests are encouraged to stop by Heartspring’s Conference Center, transformed into Santa’s Workshop, on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays for photos with Santa, cookies, hot cocoa, special guests and live entertainment. This weekend’s entertainment includes Heights High School Band, WPD and WFD guests, KWCH 12’s Katie Hatfield, Wichita Adventist Christian Academy choir and band and Thunderdog.
