CAREfest Registration Opens For All Events

WICHITA, KANSAS, June 7, 2022–

Registration for all events at Heartspring’s CAREfest fundraiser opened on June 7, 2022, including bike rides, the Autism CARE Walk, a 5K run and plenty of other summer fun. The day-long event will take place on August 27, 2022, on the Heartspring campus.

Heartspring made the decision to combine two favorites, the Autism CARE Walk and PedalFest, into one event in 2021 to bring supporters together to celebrate. In addition to the two Wichita staples, CAREfest also has a 5K run, car show, food trucks, live music and many other family activities. This will be the first year it will be celebrated in person as the 2021 CAREfest transitioned into a virtual event due to the pandemic.

“Our supporters have been waiting for more than a year to get together and celebrate at CAREfest,” Heartspring Events and Stewardship Coordinator Taylor Erb said. “We are so excited to finally provide them with the summer fun they’ve been waiting for.”

Funds raised at CAREfest support Heartspring and its mission. Heartspring lifts up children with a variety of needs including intellectual, developmental, physical and behavioral, and has been a leading provider of services and therapies in the Wichita community since 1934. Heartspring provides a wide range of services and therapies through several programs including the Heartspring Therapeutic School and Outpatient Services.

“Every dollar raised at CAREfest makes a positive difference in the lives of the families we serve,” said Erb. “CAREfest will be a day filled with summer fun and activities for all ages, interests and abilities.”

Last year’s virtual event raised more than $140,000. The 2022 event is powered by Cox Communications and presented by Emprise Bank.
