Values Ambassador: Mandy Buckwalter

Values Ambassador Mandy Buckwalter Values Ambassador Mandy Buckwalter

In her first year at Heartspring, Mandy Buckwalter has shown amazing leadership skills by demonstrating how to work with students for subs and crisis staff who may not know the students as well. She does a wonderful job of remaining calm and confident, even when circumstances are difficult. This is why Heartspring Division Director Megan Swett nominated Mandy for values ambassador.

Why did you nominate Mandy to be this month’s values ambassador?
I have had the pleasure to work with Mandy several times in G6. During my first opportunity, I was so very thankful for her leadership and perseverance. It was a Sunday night. Kristina and I were called in for staffing needs. Without Mandy that night would not have been as smooth as it was.

What was Mandy like to work with?
Mandy was so patient, kind, and caring with the students in G6 as well as Kristina and me. I was so surprised when I learned she had been here only for a couple of months. Weekends are hard, but Mandy sure made it look easy, which we all know it’s not "EASY."

How does she embody the value of leadership?
She is a very special mentor and co-worker to anyone who is lucky enough to work with her in G6. She is a prime example of the following: Author Robin S. Sharma once said, "Leadership is not about a title or a designation. It's about impact, influence, and inspiration. Impact involves getting results, influence is about spreading the passion you have for your work, and you must inspire your team-mates and customers."
