Job Description:

Job Summary: Therapy Program Coordinators at Heartspring are influencers and strategic partners. We are tasked with coaching and developing mentee(s) to participate in interdisciplinary collaboration and provide the best comprehensive services possible to our children and families.


Primary Functions

  • Assist BCBA in ABA assessments and re-assessments of children in ABA program.
  • Assist BCBA in scheduling of parent trainings, protocol modifications, or other administrative duties. 
  • Implement goals from the Individualized Treatment Plans developed for each child written by a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or Autism Specialist.
  • Collect data on child’s performance for all targets implemented during session.
  • Ability to cover in other classrooms during scheduled indirect time or in the case of cancellations.
  • Develop rapport with family and child to involve family’s input and priorities in the therapy plan and home program.
  • Demonstrate clinical expertise in ABA by remaining a current RBT, stay updated on literature, implement and utilize best practice interventions that are established by the industry and guiding and coaching mentee(s) in ability to implement interventions.
  • Provide individualized training and feedback on clinical skills and implementation of ABA procedures and best practices to ISP(s).
  • Maintain records of professional, accurate and timely documentation on each session conducted using industry best practices and meets payor requirements within practice standards.
  • Meet or exceed billable hours requirement per billable day of 5 hours and 60% billed per worked hours per month.
  • Maintain RBT audit logs to ensure 5% total implementation is supervised by a BCBA/BCaBA per the BACB’s Guidelines for mentees and own documentation purposes.
  • Communicate with supervisor regarding client needs, ISP needs, and treatment ideas.
  • Coaching – ability to provide individualized training and development of mentee(s) on clinical skills and areas of expertise.
  • Expert Clinical Implementation of Interventions - ability to learn and implement best practice ABA therapy interventions in the individualized therapy plans for the child and family.
  • Customer Service – ability to interact appropriately with a variety of individuals with varying needs within a timely matter
  • Clinical Outcomes – ability to implement best practices with guidance of BCBA to ensure positive clinical outcomes for the child and family with a comprehensive interdisciplinary team.
  • Effective Communication – ability to communicate in written, verbal and non-verbal communication with others to seek solutions and implement most ideal plan.
  • Relationship Building – ability to develop rapport and struggle with team members towards a solution.
  • Adaptable – ability to provide billable services and sustain attention with interruptions and/or distractions of the scheduled plan.

Secondary Functions

  • Design, delegate, create and maintain client materials, clean classroom and other high touch areas, assist with team building and morale, scheduling as needed, and assist Outpatient Therapy staff as directed by supervisor during scheduled indirect time
  • Participate in outreach to the public and medical community through attending events, networking and participating in content of marketing material 
  • Participate and encourage innovation and exporting knowledge and skills to new areas of practice and development.  


Requirements:

 Educational, Training, and Licensure Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Maintain RBT Certification
  • Must have at least 6 months of full-time experience in Autism Service’s Department or other outpatient behavior services clinic and maintain full time status.
  • 2000 hours of documented experience working with children affected by Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) utilizing the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis
  • CPR Certification maintained and in good standing.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary training in-service days with other outpatient therapy staff.
  • Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification maintained and in good standing
