Values Ambassador Spotlight: Jennifer Daugherty
Congratulations to Jennifer Daugherty for being August's Values Ambassador. Debbie Stevens nominated her for many reasons including her organization, willingness to help, and leadership. We chatted with her about what makes Jennifer such an excellent leader.
Do you have any examples of her going above and beyond?
When support is needed Jen, many times, responds to let staff continue running the curriculum and working with students. She is a fun, energetic, and positive person. She makes everyone feel validated and valued.
What is she like to work with?
She makes learning fun for the students. Jennifer soothes the students when they are having a hard time by showing concern and/or empathy.
How much do you think her work impacts the children and families we serve?
When developing personal IEP goals, she comes up with creative solutions that students can master. She supports students’ parents by accommodating needs and requests while forming bonds with parents. If you have ever worked with Jennifer, you know she is passionate about her role in changing the lives of the students and families, through the students’ growth and nourishing independence.
